The Johnsons visit

We had the most wonderful time with Sandra & Shaun while they were here over New Years. The week started off with a wine & cheese night to welcome them. Then in liu of successfully finding a babysitter, we got creative and celebrated New Years Eve here with our specialty sangria and fresh homemade pico de gayo (lessons courtesy of our neighbor Linda) and some old school college card games. We ended the evening rocking out to Rock Band and watching the ball drop in Times Square.


Then over the week Shaun & Eric went skiing/boarding at The Canyons in Park City (while Sandra and I put together a tasty dinner for our office dinner party), we attempted to go see Body Worlds (but failed to get tickets in advance and had to turn around), went out for drinks in downtown SLC, and trekked to Sundance with attempts to go snowshoeing but quickly changed our minds when it was only 7 degrees outside...can you say brrr?!?! So instead we enjoyed their brunch and took a short walk around the grounds. And then Sandra & Shaun headed to Park City for a day of skiing and shopping to wrap up the week the right way. Oh yes, I guess the trip officially ended when Shaun graciously helped clean up massing amounts of throw up after Alli got sick on me right before they were leaving for their flight...doh! I think he had to fight throwing up himself.
