Track Season

Track season officially started on July 20th. The track meet lasts about 6 weeks every summer...July through Labor Day. The Saratoga racecourse is full of charm and you feel as though you've stepped back in time to the 30s/40s. We recently watched Seabiscuit again which was partially filmed at the Saratoga racetrack. Sandra and Shaun were in town so we spent a nice Sunday afternoon at the track. We had fun hanging out again missing our Austin days with them!

All bets are on #5!

The grounds open at 7am daily for those that want to drop off picnic items and coolers to reserve picnic tables for the day.  Love the tall pine trees (and the shade they give)!

Saratoga Springs racetrack.  Parts of the movie "Seabiscuit" was filmed and took place here.

We chose to buy seats in the clubhouse section which had great view and gave us cover from the sun and possibly rain.

It was free 'Saratoga' hat day.
