Thanksgiving '09

We hosted Thanksgiving in Utah this year. My folks came out and we had our neighbor's Linda & Rob and their son Ian over to join in.

This was my first time cooking Thanksgiving dinner, so it was a treat to have Mom here to show me the ropes (which she ended up cooking most of it...whoops!). It was quite tasty. My favorite was the cabernet cranberries. Despite my concerns with Eric carving the turkey (he tends to think bigger = better), he mastered the feat quite skillfully. Alli graciously took a nice long 3.5 hour nap while we cooked and set the table and woke up right in time for dinner. And then didn't eat a lick of it. Oh well! She still sat at the table for a little bit for the experience!

Dinner time

Carving the bird

Grama & sleepy Alli posing

Post-dinner game of Shuffle-Shot. The "Male Models vs Senior Citizens"

Our not-so-cuddly Alli wasted no time snuggling up with Papa

Enjoying an early Christmas gift from Papa & Grama

Attempting to lay in the snow (the dirty, hard, salty, left-over snow in the street from the snow plow)

Aunt Amy visited for a couple days. Alli looks so grown up in this picture!
