She measured 28.5in (82%) in length and 19lbs 8oz (72%) in weight at her doctors appointment. Eating is going well and she's moving into more textured foods and some finger foods. Cheerios she has no problem picking up with the pincer grasp, but is still working on getting it to her mouth. She usually drops it and looks at me waiting to be fed. She likes to grab my hands and shove it in. Her favorite is taking big bites of banana straight from the peel.
Penny likes to look at our mouths to try and say new words. Her latest words are "nana" (banana) and "didi" (dog). She loves saying "who who" when she sees an owl (there are only 26 owls in her room, ha!). And she makes a raspberry sound for elephant.
She is starting to move, inch-by-inch. Doing more of the army crawl thing. Every now and then her hind end does something funny in the air (see video below) which is entertaining. She is still trying to coordinate her front and back end :).
She is a little iffy about new experiences. I took her out in the snow last week and she caught a few snowflakes on her face, tasted some snow, and then it was all tears. On a warmer day I thought she would enjoy bubbles (since she loves to reach out and touch things) and she cried right away.
Stranger anxiety is still lingering, but separation anxiety seems to have disappeared. She will play with toys in the living room or her bedroom and I can come and go without complaint, phew! But she is weary of new faces that say hello. Usually if she is in Mommy's arms then she has no problem flirting.
She is a snuggle bug and now lays her head on my shoulders to give a hug before night-night. Love that!
