Moving In
Moving into the new house! We had the movers unpack us, which means they unpack the boxes and put everything on the floor, counter, couches, chairs, etc. They don't put things away, just simply unpack the boxes. As much as it leaves you feeling overwhelmed because stuff is everywhere and in a very chaotic fashion, it still is a big help because 1)it forces you to put things away if you want to sit down! and 2) I can tackle it while Eric is at work without having to lift/move big boxes. But what really saved us was Rita and Gerry coming in town to help! They watched Alli so that we could focus on getting the bedrooms setup and then the next couple days they went to town and got the kitchen, family room, storage rooms and garage put away and organized. What a huge help!
Hanging out on the couch while the movers bring in more stuff

We gave Alli a few rolls of tape, streamers, and scissors and this basket. She seriously spent over an hour in it cutting and taping away.

At Longfellows for dinner. It's across the street from the entrance of our neighborhood so we almost walked, but decided to drive and good thing because it poured like I haven't seen in a long time!

Grammie, Alli and Grandpa Ger on the front porch

Go Hokies - a package arrived from Uncle Bud and Aunt Jennifer with some goodies and a Hokie cheerleader dress for Alli

Enjoying the newly organized garage on a rainy afternoon for some bike riding, bubbles and we even bounced the ball for Chloe.

Go Hokies! What a cutie! Glad you are settling in! You all probably got more done in a week than I have in 3 months! :)
It was our pleasure and so much fun helping out with the move to NY. Gerry and Sara worked well together getting the garage orgainized!! Sara, Eric and Alli made it all rewarding and alot of fun!! It looks awesome!
