Grammie visits & Off to San Fran

Grammie (Eric's mom, Rita) came to visit while Eric was at a conference in San Fran. We had several days of girl fun just playing in the sun, baby pool, park and music class. Alli loved seeing her Grammie and made the 'Ga' sound for the first time. She really bonded with Grammie which was very sweet to see. Grammie graciously watched Alli for the weekend and I flew out to San Fran to spend the weekend with Eric. It sounds like she and Alli had a ball and really enjoyed each other. It was nice for them to have some one on one time together, especially since we live so far away from family! It was very hard to see her go this morning, but we'll make sure we do lots of web chats and look at pictures so that Alli remembers her visit.

Eric and I enjoyed our weekend in San Francisco. We stayed right at Union Square which was great for walking to various places. Fisherman's Warf was really neat (chilly though!) and our dinner view consisted of Alcatraz and swimming sea lions! We biked through Golden Gate park and had tea at the Japanese Tea Garden. We had the BEST Thai food ever at a random lunch restaurant that day since we had to wait for bikes to return before we could head out. We also made sure to experience the trolley as well as a new wine bar that was really different and modern. It was nice to get away and spend some time checking out the city. But it was equally as nice to come home and get hugs from Alli!

The trip sounds great. What a fun place, and nice to know Alli was being well taken care of.

Wow, looks like it was a fun weekend for everyone! Did you make it by the Ghiradelli factory?! That was one of my favorites (surprise surprise). :)
