Block Party

Well our innaugural cul-de-sac block party was a success! We weren't sure quite what the turnout would be since we just passed out flyers and didn't ask for an RSVP. We woke up Saturday morning to pouring rain. Seriously, it's only rained like 3 days this year. And go figure it has to rain the date of our block party. BUT, we lucked out and the rain hid away for enough time to enjoy our party, phew! We did it pot-luck style and ended up with a nice spread of food and everyone seemed to enjoy the band too. So I think we decided we're going to try and make it a yearly event. It was great to meet a bunch of our neighbors and their kids.
