This past weekend Grammie (Eric's Mom) and Uncle Bud (Eric's brother) came to meet Alli for the first time! They were here for a very short visit, but had lots and lots of bonding time. Uncle Bud gave Eric and Sara the gift of sleep as he took over the nightime feedings Saturday night, and then Grammie picked up the morning shift. What a wonderful treat! It makes a world of difference getting a good nights sleep (as I'm sure most of you other parents already well know). It's definitely hard living so far away from our family and friends at this time, but we're lucky to have them come all the way out here to visit! Sara's mom came for the delivery and stayed for an extra week to help (thank goodness!), Eric's mom and bro were here this past week and then Sara's sister Maggie and niece Mary Layne will be here at the end of the month. Then next month Sara's sister Amy's family will visit and then friends Bonnie & Sandra are planning a trip in April. How lucky we are!

Bonnie...Thank you!..you're far too kind!! I LOVE being a mom, mom-in-law and now a Grammie!!!! It's the BEST!! Uncle Bud took to being an uncle beautifully, Eric and Sara..what fantastic parents!! Allison is a dream come true for all of us!! Such a precious gift!!
